Kaunakakai, Moloka'i

Kaunakakai, located on the island of Moloka'i, is a special experience that lives up to its reputation, "The Friendly Isle". It is the traditional birthplace of the hula. A historic walk tour of Kaunakakai Town is designed to help you appreciate the charm & sense of history Molokai offers. You're sure to encounter a friendly face & a shaka hand wave as you crass Ala Malama Street while shopping in a variety of stores that feature Moloka'i's best, including Moloka'i's white bread, taro chips, poi, honey & coffee.
Kaunakakai is home base of day trips when traveling to Papohaku Beach, Waikolu Preserve, Molokai Ranch Wildlife Park, Halawa Valley & Kalaupapa Historic Park. Moloka'i's visitors are rewarded with scenic wonders & a peaceful rural countryside.
