Pa'ia

A historic coastal plantation town on the island's North Shore, Pa'ia has a rural ambiance that disguises it's sophistication. It is a home to the HC&S sugar industry & in the early 1900's was the hub of county commerce.

To visit the town today, you'd never know it but remnants remain of an old railroad track & station that transported sugar & connected people between Pa'ia & Central Maui.

Pa'ia evolved to embrace new immigrants & host international visitors. Pa'ia offers a variety of clothing stores, curios shops & great eateries.

Located on Baldwin Avenue & Hana Highway, Pa'ia is considered by most the last stop to pick up essentials before a trip to Hana.

Ho'okipa Beach Park is known as the "windsurfing capital of the world" yet it is not uncommon to see surfers & windsurfers side by side enjoying the picturesque & natural setting of the North Shore.

Pa'ia's rich plantation heritage includes the influence of the sugar industry that remains alive & well. Pa'ia has been able to retain it's cultural diversity which enhances the flavor of this unique community.
